Notes from the desk
As you may know, I have been accepted to International College of Metaphysical Theology. I have received my enrollment packet and
have begun work on my studies. I'm very excited about it.
Also, I have finished my training to become a Certified Life Coach and am supplementing it by taking some metaphysical courses
through Express Coaching (which I'm halfway through). After completion and a favorable review by the CCA (Certified Coaches Alliance) I
will receive the designation as Master SPIRIT Life Coach.
Once I complete the doctorate program at ICMT I will receive a Doctorate in Metaphysical Theology, which will allow me to further
assist people on their spiritual quest by becoming a Spiritual Counselor.
This is all extremely exciting for me.
My studies will include a lot of reading and writing, so be prepared for more frequent blog posts. As a matter of fact, I have a
few posts in mind already. I figure since I will have to do a lot of writing for my studies, I might as well share some of those insights
with my readers, whom I am extremely grateful for.
Also, if you visit the Manifesting Your Life blog you will notice a new design. I am very pleased with the look of the blog and am
working to incorporate that same design into the rest of the website. So before long, the entire Manifesting Your Life website will look
like the blog. I just think it's a much more professional look than the existing website.
I do hope that you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year's holiday and also that everything in your life is progressing
as you wish it to.
Now on to this month's issue...

Got YOUR Goals For 2008? Find Out How Gary Can Help You Attain Your Goals!
Cick HERENow For Details!!!
Why Resolutions Don't Work
by Gary L. Glasscock, CLC
Well it's that time of year again. People have made and already broken many New Year's resolutions. But why did they break
them?
The answer lies in their mindset, plain and simple.
When a person decided they are going to make a New Year's resolution, they usually say something like, “I want to quit smoking,”
or “I want to lose weight,” or even, “I want to be successful.”
All of those resolutions will bring nothing but disappointment for the individual because the thought behind each one is not in
true vibrational resonance with the statement.
For example, let's look at, “I want to quit smoking.” First off, the word 'quit' has negative connotations to it to begin with.
Mainly because when we think of quitting something, we are usually giving something up, and a lot of times we're not exactly ready to do
it.
So we have that hurdle to get over. Then comes the ego, “Huh? You're not going to let me have cigarettes anymore? HA! I'll show
you!” And immediately we begin the negative self talk.
“I'll end up losing your friends.” When in reality, if they're true friends, they will be supportive of your decision to
quit.
“I'll gain a bunch of weight and get big and fat!” What happens is that you replace one habit for another. What you must do is to
realize what is happening and change your thought processes around the whole idea. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
Those are just a couple of things that come up for people when it comes to breaking their New Year's resolutions. Myself, I never
make New Year's resolutions. Instead, I make new yearly goals and work towards the fulfillment of them.
So what can you do to fight off the resolution blues?
First, know that you are in control of your life. No one else, just you. You have the power to decide your next thought, sentence,
action, whatever, and your choice will take you closer to your ultimate goal. Next, forget about resolutions and set goals
instead.
Resolutions have a negative connotation to them because in the past we have broken them so many times, and we know many people
that have broken them as well. So, make goals and change your thinking right from the start. After that, do as your normally would when you
set a goal for yourself. Visualize the outcome and ask the questions, “How can I make this manifest into my reality?” “What is the next
step I can take to attain this goal?” This will plant the seed in your subconscious and it will begin working on finding the answers for
you.
Visualize daily, at least twice a day. In the morning when you awake, and at night before you go to sleep. Do this and you will be
amazed at the results you have.
