Notes from the desk...
Oh man, the last several days have been quite an adventure. On Thanksgiving night my youngest son's computer shot sparks out the back
of it and wouldn't come on anymore. Hmm, sounds like it burned up to me. Sure enough, the power supply had shorted out and had in
turn burned up the motherboard and processor. Well the only thing to do was to fix it. Instead though, I built him a brand new
computer.
You see, when Ian, my oldest son, went off to college I built him a computer that should have lasted him through four years of college, and
it would have. But I had not done that with Shane, my youngest son. Shane started college in August and has been using his old
computer, and never really complained. He knew it's limitations and was ok with it. But now it was fried. So since his was
in that state I decided it was time to build him a really good computer that should last him at least through 4 years of college. So I
ordered the parts from TigerDirect. My wife and I also decided that we would repair Ian's computer. It had done almost the same
thing a few months ago. So I ordered the parts to fix his.
To make a long story short, Shane's computer went together beautifully and has been up and running since Wednesday. Ian's computer has
been giving me fits though. I had upgraded him from a DVD-ROM drive to a DVD Burner and it seemed to be having some intermittent read
problems. So I took it back to the store last night and exchanged it for another one. I'll install it later today and hopefully
that will fix the problem I've been having.
I've been neck-deep in computer issues since this past Tuesday and I think I'm finally going to be able to crawl out off all that
today. :D
So now, without further ado, (now that you know what I've been wrestling with almost all week) here's this month's issue of
ManifestingYourLife.

Manifesting By Living "As If"
by Teresa Beeman
Dictionary.com defines the phrase "as
if" to mean "as it would be if" certain conditions were met. This is well-illustrated by the following true story.
Rev. Perry Sprinkle was a Baptist
minister in the mountains of
Western North Carolina in the late 50's and early 60's. During this time, the large farms in
the area were experiencing a great many problems as a result of a severe drought.
One Sunday morning, after hearing
several of the members discuss how the crops were going to be lost if rain didn't come soon, Rev. Sprinkle suggested that the
members get together that afternoon, before the evening service began, and they would pray for rain. Everyone thought
this was a wonderful idea.
A little before the appointed time,
Rev. Sprinkle got out of his car in the church parking lot. He reached in the back seat, pulled out his rain coat, and
put it on.
Next he put on his hat, and took out
his umbrella, which he proceeded to open, as he walked toward the front door of the church under the blazing sun.
Several of the members were standing
nearby watching the preacher get out of his car. When he could stop laughing, one man asked, "Preacher, what are you doing
with all that stuff?"
"Didn't we come to pray for
rain?" Rev. Sprinkle was acting "as if" he expected to receive the rain for which he was about to ask. The old
country preacher probably never heard of the Law of Attraction; yet this was exactly what he was practicing.
Ask yourself what it is that you are
attracting. Are you acting "as if" you expect to receive it? The very basic principle behind the Law of Attraction
is that we attract whatever it is we devote our thoughts to. In turn, those thoughts manifest tangible results, be it
abundance or lack.
If you act as if there won't be enough
money to cover your bills, don't be surprised when there isn't. But if you act as if you expect abundance and plenty,
don't be surprised when there is.
Live your life "as if it would be if
certain conditions were met", and the positive manifestation results will be endless.

What's Really Causing Us to Stumble?
by Gary Glasscock
Did you know that there is one thing that is probably stopping you from manifesting the life you desire? There
is. After giving much thought to this, I have finally uncovered what that one thing is, and it's doubt.
You see, when we put out an intention, how we feel really plays a big part in our results. But what happens a
lot of times is that doubt creeps in and the next thing you know we are sabotaging ourselves. You see, doubt will bring a lot of
things with it, but mainly it brings fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of what others may think,
fear of... well, you just plug in whatever your fear is.
But doubt definitely causes a lot of misfires on manifesting the life you desire. For example, you state that
you'd like to make X amount of dollars by such-and-such date. Ok, you start off really good, but then doubt comes along and you
start to think, "This isn't working," or "I'll never make that kind of money," or "What will others think of me when I make that kind of
money?" All of this comes from doubt. Your doubt that the Law of Attraction, or the Laws of the Harvest, actually work.
Well they do and when you start doubting it, you will find that your doubts will actually bring about your failure to manifest the life
you desire.
The Law of Attraction and the Laws of the Harvest work every time, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It just
flat out works. We put our intentions "out there" and then if we don't believe that the Universe/God/Higher Self/Whatever you want
to call it, will deliver on our request, it just won't happen. You must believe that it will come to pass, or it won't. It's
just that simple.
Our belief though is governed by many different things, but mainly it comes from what we have been taught since
birth. All these things that we've been taught actually limit us in our efforts. For instance, we've all heard that you must
work hard to get ahead in this life. That you must commit yourself to your "job" in order to get where we want to go. This has
been pounded into our heads over and over again, until in the end we accept this as a belief. Well, it's wrong. Just like so
many of our beliefs are wrong.
"Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve."
I can't recall right off hand who said that (and that's really sad because I know who said it, I just can't recall
right now), but it is a resounding truth. Just think back over your life and see all the things you have manifested in your
life. That's proof that the Law of Attraction and the Laws of the Harvest work. From that we should get the belief that no
matter what, it always works. Without fail.
So put your intentions "out there" and BELIEVE that whatever you're intending will come to pass, and it will.
Now, we live in an instant gratification society (at least in North America) and a lot of times we tend to measure our results too
quickly. That's when doubt creeps in and destroys our intentions. So we must allow for the passage of time for our intentions
to be answered. And we have to be ready for what comes and act on the inspirations we receive.
Let me tell you what has happened to me so that perhaps you can get a better perception of this. I had put out
the intention "I make more money now than ever before." What happened then was that the wheels were put into motion and all of a
sudden I was inspired to write a book. Then I was directed to co-author a book with my chiropractor. After thinking about it
he accepted my proposal. I've acted on these ideas as they came to me and I've been rewarded every time. Once I take action
on an inspired thought things just start happening to bring about my intention. Now, this didn't happen overnight, it had to take
time. But because I believed that my intention would happen I received these inspired thoughts and took action. Now my
chiropractor and I are working on co-authoring a book. We plan to self-publish it and I will be taking care of the actual writing
of the book and the marketing of it (if there are any appearances to be made Dr. Roberts will be included in those as well).
Basically what I am looking at here is that Dr. Roberts has the knowledge we wish to convey in the book. I have the writing ability
and the marketing knowledge. So this sets us up pretty well. He provides the content, I arrange it and write it in an easy to
understand manner, and Walla, we have a book!
So BELIEVE that your intentions will come about, because they will.
Peace, Abundance, and many Blessings to you,
Gary
